NWLS has expanded client services by offering service delivery in a variety of
ways. In addition to direct representation,
we operate private attorney involvement programs,
a telephone advice program, conduct
Self-Help & Pro Se Clinics, and provide
community
education. See our
program's brochure for a summary of our services.
The Erie Office of NWLS houses our Central Intake Unit. To
apply for services, clients in our ten county service area
should call our Central Intake
Unit. The client's eligibility will be screened over the phone and if found
eligible, an application for services is completed and an appointment is scheduled.
In some areas of the laws,
telephone advice
is also provided directly over the telephone. For more information on our Central
Intake Unit and Telephone Advice Line,
Legal Needs Assessment:
NWLS
periodically undergoes a
Legal Needs Assessment to determine the needs of our clients within our ten
county service area. To assist in this process, we will widely
distribute questionnaires throughout the community requesting input in this
process. After assessing the collected information,
and public meetings, we will begin the
process of restructuring our priority areas of representation.
