NWLS services 10 counties in northwestern Pennsylvania including, Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Mercer, McKean, Potter, Venango, & Warren Counties. (see map).

When applicants contact us for service, our Central Intake Unit will screen the client to determine if they are income and asset eligible for our services, conduct a conflict check, and determine if the problem fits without our case criteria.  If  found eligible, the intake worker completes the application over the telephone.  Depending on the type of problem the applicant has, they are either scheduled for an appointment with and advocate in the the appropriate county office or transferred to an Intake Attorney who provides advice and counsel over the telephone.
