| A woman came to
the NWLS office in Meadville (Crawford County) distraught
because the father of her child had taken the child to Erie
and would not return their daughter to her. Although our
client had lived with this man off-and-on for the first year
of the child's life, they were now separated and living
apart from each other. Our client was especially worried
because the man had moved into a rough neighborhood in Erie,
and he had a history of drug abuse. We drafted a Petition
for Emergency Relief and presented it to the judge. He
signed the order and the child was back with the mother by
the end of the day. |
